Care to dance? Bet you thought we'd never ask. The money can-can't is simple to learn, but it takes practice. Many think they know it, because it seems easy enough, however, once they get into it, they often forget the most important steps.

So, if you'll indulge us for a moment, we're going to give you a refresher.

  • Money can buy the finer things in life, but it can't buy class.

  • Money can buy an education, but it can't buy knowledge.

  • Money can buy lessons, but it can't buy talent.

  • Money can buy security, but it can't buy inner peace.

  • Money can buy sex, but it can't buy love.

  • Money can buy status, but it can't buy respect.

  • Money can buy people, but it can't buy friendship.

  • Money can buy the best medicine, but it can't buy health.

  • Money can buy experiences, but it can't buy wisdom.Money can buy many things, but it can't buy happiness.

The things we value most in life, money can't buy. It may seem obvious, but most people tend to forget this basic truth. Money can be a means to an end, but it can't be the end in and of itself. It would be meaningless if that were so. A great Aesop Fable called "The Miser" illustrates this point:

"A Miser sold everything he had, and melted down his hoard of gold into a single lump, which he buried secretly in a field. Every day he went to look at it, and would spend hours gloating over his treasure. One of his men noticed his frequent visits to the spot, and one day watched him and discovered his secret. Waiting his opportunity, he went one night and dug up the gold and stole it. Next day the Miser visited the place as usual, and, finding his treasure gone, fell to tearing his hair and groaning over his loss. In his condition he was seen by one of his neighbours, who asked him what the trouble was. The Miser told him of his misfortune; but the other replied, 'Don't take it so much to heart, my friend; put a brick into the hole, and take a look at it every day: you won't be any worse off than before, for even when you had your gold it was of no earthly use to you'."

Know what money can and can't do for you. Otherwise you may just end up miserable.
